About Pete

I’m a software engineer from Teesside, now living in Leeds. I write notes about AI and what it is like to be an engineer while the tools, the workflows and the job itself change.

I care about the craft of building for the web: accessible, fast, honest software that respects the people using it. Lately that has meant working out where AI genuinely helps and where it gets in the way.

The tools keep changing. The job is still about care, curiosity and doing honest work.

Away from the keyboard I am usually drinking coffee, out walking, or spending time with the people I love. The café photo is not staged. Much.

If you want to work together, the services page has the detail. If you just want to say hello, the form below goes straight to my inbox.
